Reverend Robert T. Cooper and Daughter Amy Cooper

Robert is a Texan by birth, though his Air Force father moved the family to lots of interesting places, including England, Hawaii, and Germany. Robert graduated from Texas A & M, and got both music and religious education degrees from Southwestern Seminary. He served churches in Texas, Chattanooga, and Waynesville before being called to start the mission work that became The Gathering in the Mountains. Robert met wife, Mary Ann, while serving in San Antonio. They have two grown daughters, Amy and Kristen. Amy plays keyboard and helps with youth and children's ministries when home.

In addition to writing Bible Discussion lessons and presenting Sunday morning messages, Robert also uses his guitar to lead congregational singing including a variety of hymns, choruses, and even a few original songs.
